Kamarhati MLA and Trinamool Congress leader, Madan Mitra, has been admitted to SSKM Hospital with a throat problem, and it has been revealed that he will undergo surgery to remove a tumor in his throat.

Mitra, who had been dealing with vocal issues for an extended period, disclosed that his throat sounded like a crow when he spoke, prompting his decision to seek medical attention.

Acknowledging the worsening condition, Madan Mitra stated on Tuesday that he had concealed the problem earlier, but with increased severity, he voluntarily admitted himself to the hospital.
